Update! Wow, finally!
Oh my goodness it's been such a long while!
Truth be told, I haven't been all too busy this summer, but I just keep forgetting to update my dear old blog.
So I've got a job, as I mentioned in the last post. I work for a realtor at Coldwell Banker Residential Mortgage in town. It's awesome! I get paid $10/hr. to do administrative duties in the office and to drive around to houses and put signs up/maintain signage on property. I also get $.38 for every mile I drive on the job. The hours are lovely! I show up at 10 every weekday and only have to work till around 2-3pm. Sometimes, I get off much earlier; today I was finished with everything by 12. So yeah. That's my job.
I have been spending a lot of money from my job on random things. I bought a $100 pair of Nike
running shoes, a
yukata with accessories, and am soon to buy a
new computer (14" with 1.42 GHz processor, 1.5 G of memory and 100G of HD space! OMG, so excited!). Of course, I had to sell my old iMac and iBook to get a new one, but it will be worth it, I think. At least now there won't be so many wires everywhere.
So I have this week and the next, and then I'll be going back to Lincoln for the school year. I have to go early for the health aide training session things. Yayity. We will also be going to a family reunion in Exeter. Not really looking forward to it at all, but my mother is making me go. I guess I will have to do like Josh says and people browse, decide which of my cousins is the hottest, and then figure out how distantly related we are. It could be fun, I suppose. I thought about asking if I could skip it and drive out to West Des Moines to visit Jenny, but somehow I think my mom wouldn't be too keen on the idea. Ah well, I'll see Jenny soon enough, I suppose. As long as she doesn't end up spending like forever and a day with Drew. Which is a very real possibility. I suppose I really will have to find some more friends to do things with. I can't stay in my room all the time, can I? Of course not, it's not healthy.
Well, I'm supposed to be joining some new clubs this year, so we'll see. Hopefully I'll get involved! I resolve to get involved! (harhar...)
Uhhh...well, I can't think of much else to say. Only that I'm glad to be going back to school soon...I need a change of scenery. I'll miss home, but I've got to be around people my own age! Everybody here is like 40 or over! Not that that's a bad thing or anything. But ya know.
So yeah.
